Leadership Loudoun is a non profit organization that develops current and emerging leaders to work together to serve the good of Loudoun County, Virginia. The nine-month leadership development program is an experiential curriculum, during which class participants learn about themselves:explore the history and culture of Loudoun County; identify and examine important issues that are relevant to the community and become active agents of positive change; meet a network of diverse people who are interested in making a difference; and practice teambuilding through work in small groups to achieve common goals.

Who We Are

Seventeen classes have now graduated from the program creating a membership network of 416 community leaders representing business, government, non-profit, education, human services, and faith-based organizations. Members serve on over 500 commissions, committees and boards and have created and/or sponsored 62 community impact projects that leave a legacy of service for the community.

Leadership Loudoun is supported by three founding partners: the County of Loudoun, Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, and Loudoun County Volunteer Services. Professional staff support is provided by the Loudoun County Public Information Office.

What We Do

Leadership Loudoun provides four basic services to the community and its membership.

Leadership Development—An nine-month leadership program is provided yearly to a group of people who live or work in Loudoun county for the purpose of developing a pool of leadership talent from which organizations may draw upon to meet it community service needs. Participants receive formal training in important skills such as leadership and teambuilding.

In-depth knowledge of Loudoun County The program provides an opportunity to learn about the county's history, geography, political structure, economic climate and more. Explore many of the challenges and issues facing our fast-growing county and learn about ways to get involved in the community.

Community Impact ProjectsThese projects leave a legacy to the Loudoun community and working together, class members use the tools, resources and information they have gathered throughout the year to make a positive and lasting impact.

Membership Networking Events Throughout the year, Leadership Loudoun sponsors several social events and training programs. These events allow the network of members to meet and socialize as well as forge the bonds of a committed community.
